Haringey Lib Dems Public Police Meeting

  • 08 Jan 2026
  • 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm
  • Muswell Hill Road
    London
    N10 3NG

One of the main issues for local residents that we have spoken with throughout 2025 is crime and policing in the local area.

This featured highly in our 2025 resident survey, and it is commonly raised by those we speak to on doorsteps and in other forms of correspondence with us. Whether it’s car-related crimes, burglaries, thefts from people and properties, shoplifting or other crimes, many residents have been directly affected or know someone who has.

That is why we have organised a public meeting with the Met Police for Haringey residents to attend on Thursday 8 January 2026 from 7pm at the Royal British Legion in Muswell Hill, so that you can hear directly from them on what action is being taken to support victims, increase patrols, and catch offenders; and to put your questions to them.

The meeting is free to attend; however, space is limited and there has been a lot of community interest so residents will need to RSVP above to be guaranteed entry.

New Year's Drinks

Start the New Year off and banish winter blues by joining fellow Liberal Democrat members and supporters for drinks at The Riverside Inn on Friday, January 9th from 6.30pm.

It’s the perfect opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet new ones – and you might even win a raffle prize (please let us know if you have something you’d like to donate). Although there is no charge as
people will buy their own drinks, please sign up so we can see numbers. As the pub serves meals, there is also the opportunity to purchase food but the kitchen closes c. 8pm, so order promptly!
There is a large carpark but you will need to make sure you put in your vehicle registration number on arrival. The location is also reachable by bus and a 5 minute walk from the Shallows bus stop (39 or X39 services)

This venue has step-free and wheelchair access. For further information about accessibility please contact diversity@bathneslibdems.org.uk
