“Monroe describes his early style of political campaigning as “community politics before we knew what it was called”. His time as a councillor included several years as Cabinet Member for Regeneration encouraging the regeneration of Barnet’s high streets.
Lord Palmer is currently the Liberal Democrat Lords Spokesperson (Work and Pensions) in the Lords.
Dr Sarah Hoyle joined the Lib Dems in 2009. She has been an active campaigner, standing in numerous elections and was the parliamentary candidate for Finchley and Golders Green in 2024. She is passionate about creating worthwhile community spaces.

Join us as we welcome leader of the Liberal Democrats Sir Ed Davey to Sutton!
He'll be joining us from 1:15pm to knock on doors in North Cheam, where we're fighting hard to take three seats from the Conservatives and elect hardworking Lib Dem local champions.
There will be a quick rally and photo call at the meeting point before we head out to knock on doors!
We really want to make sure we give Sir Ed a HUGE warm welcome in the way that we all know Sutton can, so please join us on the day!
