Folkestone and Hythe Liberal Democrats keep in touch all year round through Councillors surgeries that are intended to allow local residents the chance to talk to their Councillor face to face with no appointment: just turn up.

We also run regular social events and meetups across the district. Learn more below!

Please join us to meet Helen Baxter and Jonny Singh, our candidates for the new parliamentary seats in Brent and for the London Assembly.

Helen and Jonny will lead a discussion on the Liberal Democrats’ policy priorities on defence, diplomacy, and development. We face a world of complex challenges posed by conflict, climate change and migration, and we are heading into the 2024 elections with a Liberal vision of how we tackle these challenges.

Helen Baxter is the candidate for the parliamentary seat of Queen's Park and Maida Vale. She is London Lib Dems treasurer and has worked as an international aid auditor, including for the European Commission.

Jonny Singh is the candidate for the parliamentary seat of Brent East, and for the London Assembly. He flew rescue helicopters for the RAF before becoming an international development executive. He is vice-chair of the Lib Dems international policy working group. 

They will be joined by Cllr Paul Lorber, the candidate for the Brent West seat and a councillor in Sudbury, and by Cllr Hannah Matin a Councilor for Alperton and Cllr Anton Georgiou, also councillor in Alperton and leader of the Lib Dem group on Brent Council.

Please join us this Tuesday the 19th of March for what promises to be a fascinating discussion, and help raise the funds we need to fight two elections in 2024!

Join the Woking-wide team for an Action Day in Knaphill on Saturday 30th March, for all canvassers across the borough. New and experienced canvassers welcome and all training provided. 

The event will start from 10.30 am, meeting at the car park by Brookwood Farm playground, Brookwood Farm Drive, GU21 2FT. 

The morning session will end at 12.30, with a break for lunch at the Nags Head. The afternoon session is from 2 - 5 pm. It's no problem to arrive at any time during the day - just contact Will Forster on 07980 971078 when you arrive.

Action Day & Curry Night

Join the Leeds Lib Dems for an Action Day and social in the run-up to the local elections this May. We've got loads of leaflets to deliver in the morning and afternoon, followed by a curry at Bundobust in the evening.

We'll have teams out in the North and South of the city meeting at:
10:00 - Asda Car Park
10:00 - Woodlesford train station

If you can't do the whole day that's ok you can get in contact with the teams by emailing info@leedslibdems.org.uk and we'll give you a phone number to call the local team so you can meet up during the day.

Once we've finished campaigning we'll head into the city centre for a curry at Bundobust. They're an excellent Indian street food restaurant located close to the train station, main bus station and car park.
