GE2024 London Thank You Party

The London regional team invites you to join us on Thursday 18th July at the National Liberal Club from 6pm to celebrate our collective efforts in the local and national Campaigns.  As before there will be a bar tab to ensure everyone gets a drink or two for free.

London Lib Dems have collectively gone to bat for our target seats in Carshalton & Wallington, Wimbledon, and Sutton & Cheam, other nearby seats including Chesham & Amersham, and Harpenden & Berkhamstead, Esher & Walton (not to mention half of Surrey...) and our held seats in London as well as others further afield.

Everyone has helped in different ways and we can all be incredibly proud of our achievements - you have shown that the London Lib Dems are made up of team players - who have put the wider party and the country ahead of our local objectives.

So this party is for you - to say thank you, and to celebrate our role in the wider party's success.

Wimbledon Lib Dems Gala Dinner

  • 18 Jul 2024
  • 7.00 pm - 11.00 pm
  • 24 High St
    SW19 5EA

Despite his repeated prevarications the Prime Minister will soon have no choice but to call an election. To mark the start of the 'long campaign' on the 18 July - a date set by statute six months before the latest date he can hold out until - I'm delighted to announce we are holding a Gala Dinner at the Dog & Fox in Wimbledon Village.

Our guest speaker for this very special event is our deputy leader, the wonderful Daisy Cooper MP who will be sharing insights of what's happening in this Parliament during its final days.

Here's your chance to join me and Daisy in calling time on this hapless Conservative government.

The evening will include a welcome champagne reception, followed by a 3-course dinner with wine, coffee and chocolates.

After the dinner and speeches - with an opportunity for Q&A there will be a fabulous fundraising auction and a luxury Lib Dem raffle.

We hope to see many of you and your friends there on 18th July. It promises to be a fun and informative night.

In buying a ticket you are contributing to Paul Kohler's campaign to: win Wimbledon for the Liberal Democrats; rid ourselves of this tired & unimaginative government; and help build a better, fairer future for our country.

  • Guildford Road
    KT22 9AS

Congratulations and Celebrations…

All owing to the fantastic team effort (of over 400 of us) which culminated in HELEN being elected as MP for Epsom and Ewell, Leatherhead and Ashstead. It was my privilege to be at the count when the result was announced, and I’m still stunned by the novelty of us having secured our first ever woman, non-Tory MP.

NOW it’s time to PARTY!

Please join us

at the Leatherhead Football Club, Guildford Road, KT22 9AS

on Sunday 21st July

from 4.00pm to 6.30pm.

There will be a welcome drink, a finger buffet and a bar. Most importantly there will also be HELEN!

You are very welcome to bring a ‘Plus One’ and children but, as capacity is limited, please RSVP via the button below to indicate your numbers. It will be a case of first to reply, first served. There will be onsite parking, but please DO NOT park in the areas marked with a company board.

I realise you might be away on holiday or already have other commitments, but we wanted to celebrate ASAP. However, fear not, if you miss out this time, there will be another celebratory event in September, probably just after what is going to be a jubilant party conference. An invitation will follow, when we’ve all had a chance to draw breath.

In the meanwhile, heartfelt thanks for all YOU have contributed to OUR success.

Very much looking forward to seeing on Sunday 21st July, or in September.

The tickets are free. Please choose the number of tickets you require (for you & your guests) as we need to monitor the total number of people. Max 120, first come, first served.

Learn how Somerset Council's finances and organisation have been transformed, achieving a balanced budget and conserving essential services.
