About Folkestone and Hythe Constituency

From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.

The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.

Channel Academy Construction Works

A number of residents of the Grasmere Gardens area have contacted the Lib Dem team about serious issues arising from the construction of the new academy adjacent to the Channel School.

Folkestone and Hythe Conservatives Ditch Local Candidates

Local Tories are down to a shortlist of 5 candidates from across the country as they choose their candidate to contest the Folkestone and Hythe seat at the next General Election. In a blow to the hopes of many local Conservatives, the shortlist contains NO local names.
