Dymchurch and St Mary's Bay Councillors Terry Preston, Julie White and Shirley Maile have welcomed the news that public conveniences will stay open in their area.
New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.
The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.

Shepway Council's ruling cabinet has agreed a plan that will keep open nine of the district's public toilets. The toilets were threatened after the Labour Government forced the Council to cut services to reduce the size of the Council Tax rise.
