Angry Tory slams party 'lemmings'

A Shepway Conservative says he is disgusted with the local Conservatives and has resigned his Romney Marsh seat on Shepway District Council. A by-election will be held on the 4th of June to coincide with the County and European elections.
Simon Ashworth was a Conservative Councillor until his resignation a few weeks ago. In the local "Herald" newspaper on May 21st, he stormed:
"I'm disgusted by the Party. The Conservatives just do exactly what they want.
"You just have to toe the party line like lemmings and I'm no lemming."
