Animal Park Camp Site Experience Approved

2 Aug 2006

Port Lympne zoo near Hythe has had plans for a campsite to allow 20 visitors to sleep among the animals approved by Shepway District Council on Tuesday.

Without the "African Experience" camp site, Port Lympne claimed there was a risk the zoo could close.

"The company is losing money and this is an extra building block towards making it a sustainable business" said managing director Bob O'Connor.
