Charivari returns to Folkestone

12 Jul 2007

The remarkable spectacle of Charivari returns to Folkestone this Saturday (14 July). The carnival procession starts in Castle Hill Avenue at 2.30pm, and processes around town to arrive on The Leas between 3 and 3.30pm.

There will be live music on The Leas from 3.30pm, which is one of the best viewpoints from which to watch the parade. Charivari is organised by renowned local art group Strange Cargo, and has received a grant this year towards its costs from Folkestone Town Council.
