Community Speed Watch - Volunteers Needed To Help With Vital Work!

14 Nov 2009

In order to curb speeding on Sandgate roads, Sandgate Parish Council has purchased a share in Community Speed Watch equipment and this will be used to collect data to assist in our bid to Kent Highway Services to obtain road safety improvements in Sandgate.

Sandgate parish councillors Ann Rimmer and Season Prater have already had several Speed Watch sessions on Sandgate Hill and it was interesting to see how quickly cars slowed down when they could see the Speed Watch equipment in place.

"We need more people to get involved with this project. Our PCSO Mark Wilson is now running it and will provide training for anyone who is interested. Training takes only a few minutes and isn't difficult. If you are interested in joining the team please contact Mark on mark.wilson@kent.pnn.police.uk or Mobile 07972004423."
