Day out in Dover

FMTMN

I guess being by the sea we should expect windy conditions and "blustery" is what we got! As always, we were greeting with great hospitality and the arrangements for the day were explained from the starting point of the Dover Transport Museum.

It is disconcerting to see cars in a museum that are younger than me. An open topped bus took us around Dover whilst we dodged low branches and got blown inside out. Stopping at at the new Sea Sports Centre, with some refreshments and continuing from there to Western Heights passing by various places of interest such as the Painted House.

The view of the harbour was fascinating when information and explanation is added. The day ended at the interesting Crabble Mill where we had a late lunch.
