Folkestone Councillor Dhan Gurung has added his support in an article in the Daily Mirror today to a campaign to support the widow of a Gurkha killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan who has been warned she and her children may be deported.

Colour Sergeant Krishna Bahadur Dura's widow Uma returned to her UK home last week after travelling to Nepal with her two young daughters to bury her husband.

Dhan said:

"The Gurkhas have served this country for years. In the case of Krishna Dura, that was the third time he had been on the front line in Afghanistan.

"We cannot let his wife's life be destroyed as well."
