Season Prater: Good news on Enbrook Valley bins

Action from Sandgate campaigner Season Prater has convinced Shepway Council to take action on overflowing residents bins for flats above the Enbrook Valley shops in Golden Valley, Sandgate. The bins are regularly full to overflowing, and additional rubbish left by the bins, causing litter across the area by the shops and attracting seagulls and other animals.

Shepway Council Customer Services Department contacted Season on Friday, and committed to try to get another residents bin for the area, and have put stickers on the current bins explaining that they are for residents waste only.

Season says:

"This is good news - I look forward to seeing the new bin!

"These bins are regularly full to overflowing, and another bin will be a real help. If we can stop rubbish being left anywhere except in the bins, then there will be a real impact on reducing litter in the area, and the whole look of the area will improve."

Season Prater is the Liberal Democrat candidate in the Sandgate Valley by-election to Sandgate Council on 1st May.
