As a part of the successful £20m "Levelling Up Fund" bid from Government, Folkestone Town Centre and Folkestone Bus Station are changing: help shape how.
The forthcoming Phase 2 public engagement events will allow you to:
The event will be open to the public on Friday 17 November (1pm – 7pm) and Saturday 18 November (11am-4pm).
These events will once again be hosted at Bouverie House Business Centre, immediately beside the bus station. The events have been planned to coincide with the launch of the Folkestone Book Festival and the Folkestone Xmas lights switch-on.
The virtual reality experience can be booked in advance via the website, but organisers will try to accommodate those who haven’t booked too.
Just as with phase one, the views of the community are central to the plans. Feedback on Phase one reshaped the proposals removing a roundabout from the scheme that was widely felt not to add value and increase hazards to cyclists. This is a great opportunity to help shape the future of the town.
You can find more details on the District Council website. Full details of phase two will be added, along with the survey when it opens for feedback w/c Monday 13 November.
