Memories came flooding back from earlier decades of Ska music as we listened to the DJ and I couldn't wait for the bands to begin.
Opening the Folkestone Skabour Festival was an honour and the welcome was generous and warm. The atmosphere throughout the evening was one of energy and fun and I enjoyed every moment of the event. It was so good to spend the evening talking to the people of Folkestone, and to visitors from far and wide, about the benefits of living in Folkestone.
The idea of the festival was well received and most people asked about the possibility of it becoming an annual event. I hope that comes true.
