General Election Nominations for Folkestone and Hythe

The deadline for nominations to be the next MP for Folkestone and Hythe was 4pm, and the accepted nominations have been announced by Shepway Council. Lib Dem candidate Lynne Beaumont is facing six other candidates in a contest widely expected to be a clear choice between the Liberal Democrats and the Conservative candidate.
The nominated candidates are:
- Lynne Beaumont (Liberal Democrats)
- Damian Colins (Conservative)
- Penny Kemp (Green)
- Frank McKenna (UKIP)
- David Plumstead (Independent)
- Harry Williams (BNP)
- Donald Worsley (Labour)
