Residents have an opportunity to talk all things Princes Parade at a drop-in session next week.

The majority of those who completed a recent survey on the future of the site supported maintaining the current open space and encouraging biodiversity.

As part of Folkestone & Hythe District Council’s ongoing commitment to public engagement, Hythe Town Hall (CT21 5AJ) is to play host to an event where any further views on the 18 acres of land can be shared.

Hythe ward representatives Cllrs Jim Martin, Anita Jones and Rich Holgate will attend at various times throughout the sessions on Friday 4 July (4pm-7pm) and Saturday 5 July (10am-1pm).

All topics relating to Princes Parade are welcome – but the focus is expected to be on Seapoint Canoe Club, the Seabrook Park play equipment and car park.

Leader Cllr Jim Martin said:

“Princes Parade is a subject which has dominated the local conversation for 15 years, so it’s right to ensure everybody with an opinion has the chance to share it with us.

“This event isn’t about us presenting ideas – it’s about having a chat and hearing what the people of Seabrook, Hythe and beyond have to say.”
