Hawkinge man questioned after being arrested under the Terrorism Act

A man was arrested in Hawkinge, near Folkestone, by Kent Police under the Terrorism Act 2000, and is being held on suspicion of being engaged in the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism.

Officers arrested the man at around 8.45am on Monday 15 September. He is currently being questioned at a police station in Kent. Police enquiries are ongoing.
