Herald: Councillor's plea for bin bags that are seagull proof

Article from Folkestone Herald 10 July 2014 on seagull proof rubbish bags

My call to Shepway District Council for Seagull Proof bags makes page 8 of this weeks Folkestone Herald.

I see that part of Shepway's justification for not using the bags is that "when the ordinary sack is removed from the gull proof bags, the bags often blow about the streets and get lost."

Those of us (who live in flats or cannot store wheelie bins) currently have a blue bag provided to us for our paper and card recycling: a system put in place by Shepway District Council. Consistent Council? Not.
