The planning application for the development of Hythe Fisherman's Beach goes to Shepway District Council Development Control Committee this evening (16th November, starting at 7pm). The planning application Y10/0436/SH is described as:

"Redevelopment of former gas works site, retention of existing former RNLI buildings and demolition of other buildings to provide a mixed use development of 62 dwellings, a fishmongers, restaurant (A3 use) and nine huts for commercial and recreational uses."
