Kent County Council Consultation on Sandgate Library

23 Jan 2013

Kent County Council are consulting on a proposal to transfer the management and running of Sandgate Library to Sandgate parish Council from this summer.

Sandgate Parish Council have been working with Kent County Council on the proposals, which would give the Parish Council more flexibility on the services that can be offered from the Library, and allow for a greater use of volunteers to support Library users.

More details on the proposal and an online consultation form is now online at http://www.kent.gov.uk/leisure_and_culture/libraries/future_library_services/shepway_district/sandgate_library.aspx

Leaflets with more information are also available in Sandgate Library, and Kent County Council will be hosting a drop in day at the library on Tuesday 5th February 9.30 - 1.00pm and 6.00 - 8.00pm.
