13 Feb 2008

An ITV Meridian report into the state of Kent roads has highlighted a £170 million backlog in repairs to local roads. Folkestone Lib Dem Councillor Tim Prater and AA President Edmund King were interviewed by Sarah Saunders of Meridian.

Tim Prater contrasted the huge backlog of repairs with over £28 million being spend by Kent on a Highways Department office relocation.

The interview was recorded in Folkestone and shows road damage and potholes in Linksway (off Cherry Garden Avenue) and Ross Way (off Military Road, Shorncliffe). The report was run in ITV Meridian News on Monday 11 February.
