Open Sesame is Creative Folkestone’s programme offering free creative space to local artists, musicians and makers. Launched in 2020 to support creatives during lockdown, it continues to give people the time and room to develop ideas, try something new and invest in their practice.
For Open Sesame 2027, you can apply for up to five weekdays between January and March, with access to the Quarterhouse auditorium from 10am–4.30pm.
You could use the space for:
- Rehearsals and creative development
- Recording or live streaming
- Training and skills development
- Research and experimentation
- Small meetings and collaboration
- Quiet thinking time
- Making noise, testing ideas and trying something new
You don’t need to have a finished outcome in mind. Whether you’re just starting out or already established, we want to hear how having free space could support your creative practice.
The deadline for application is Sunday 27 September 2026.
