Out of Touch, Out of Control

The Folkestone Herald reports this week that retailers in Folkestone Town Centre are reporting a huge drop in takings since new on-street parking charges were introduced last month.

When that was put to Council Leader Robert Bliss, he is reported as saying:

"I am amazed that they (traders) can blame parking for a change in turnover."

Off. The. Planet. How could it not?

I suppose Robert doesn't have a problem parking in the area. Double yellow lines have no pesky meters...
