Public consultation on Disability Living Allowance reform

7 Dec 2010

The Department of Work and Pensions has published a public consultation on Disability Living Allowance reform, seeking views on the Government's proposals to replace Disability Living Allowance (DLA) with a new benefit - Personal Independence Payment.

This new benefit aims to be a clearer, more targeted benefit, with an objective assessment, designed to enable disabled people to participate more fully in society. You can find out more about the consultation and how to respond at http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/dla-reform-consultation.pdf
