Sandgate Christmas Lights

A number of Sandgate residents will have noticed over the Christmas period that the streetlight decorations were having more than their fair share of "issues". After the first day of lighting, there was rarely a day they were all on, and on a number of days, very few were lit at all.

The lights are paid for and arranged by Sandgate Parish Council, who were chasing the lighting contractors throughout the Christmas period to get repairs done, but it seemed that no sooner were some lights fixed than others broke.

A complaint was made on behalf of Sandgate Parish Council to the suppliers Millennium Quest, and a response received from them at the beginning of January apologising massively, accepting the inconvenience and offering a total overhaul and rebuild of the lights for next year at their own expense.

Lets hope that the sandgate Christmas lights 2013 work - as promised - without the problems of this year!
