Trading Standards Alert - Security Systems

Trading Standards have been made aware that a security company is contacting consumers to say that they have won a free security system.

This may not actually be the case. Trading Standards have been told that there are costs involved which the trader is reluctant to tell consumers about.

The trader may use this as an opportunity to make an appointment at the consumer's home in order to discuss the "free security system" where it may be much more difficult for the consumer to get the trader to leave.
