A woman was taken to hospital for treatment after being shot in the arm with an air gun. The shooting happened as the 19-year-old was walking in Radnor Park Road, Folkestone, on Saturday night.

She was treated at the William Harvey Hospital, in Ashford, for an injury to her right elbow. The air gun pellet had to be removed. Police said it is thought the gun was fired near the Radnor Park bowling green and are appealing for witnesses.
