New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.
The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.

Covid-19 has highlighted the value of caring for each other. Now we need to care for those most affected by the pandemic and help them recover - NHS staff, care workers, those that care for family members, children with disrupted schooling, people with mental health challenges and many more. At the Folkestone and Hythe District Council Full Council meeting on 24th February, an amendment to the General Fund Medium Term Capital Programme was proposed by Lib Dem Group Leader Tim Prater and Green Group Leader Lesley Whybrow.
