Folkestone and Hythe Parliamentary Constituency
Covering all Folkestone & Hythe District Council wards EXCEPT North Downs East and North Downs West
New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
About Folkestone and Hythe Constituency
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.
The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.
Beach Management Work Gets Underway Again
The beach management programme which successfully defended homes from Storm Goretti in January will resume next week.

Cheriton Interchange Pedestrian Crossing Dangerous: Confirmed!
Since the junction at Cheriton Interchange was configured to add a right turn onto Cheriton High Street from the direction of Tesco, local campaigners have said the junction is unsafe for pedestrians. Now, an official safety audit has backed that view.
