New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.
The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.
Ming Campbell was a dedicated public servant and Liberal giant. His principled leadership opposing the Iraq War was a mark of his morality, courage and wisdom. But more than that, he was an warm and caring friend and colleague. We will miss him terribly.
Our party is run by members, for members. From the leader, to members of Party Committees & our local party teams, everyone is elected by fellow members. Nominations are now closed for the 2025 Federal elections. Ballot emails go out soon.
A local resident contacted me recently to ask if Folkestone and Hythe District Council use pesticides locally, and if so how they are working to reduce their use.
