New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.

About Folkestone and Hythe Constituency

From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.

The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.

Event: Sandgate's Open Gardens

This Sunday (1st July) noon to 6pm, private gardens across Sandgate will be open for you and your family to explore and enjoy. This is Sandgate's second Open Garden Day: gardeners have been working hard to get their gardens into shape and counter the effects of the recent high winds!

Kent has one of the most extensive highway networks in the country and Kent County Council (KCC) as a local transport authority maintains over 5,000 miles of roads and 4,000 miles of pavements, as well as 4,200 miles of public rights of way. Under the Traffic Management Act 2004, all local transport authorities in England have a duty to: "secure the expeditious movement of traffic on the authority's road network".
