New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.
The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.
Commitment secured for new safe crossing points for roads off Spring Lane including Woodlands Drive, Highridge, Hampton Vale, Seadown Close, Paraker Way, Eversley Road and Springfield Way.
Proludic will start on the £750,000 refurbishment project on Monday (20 April) just as the cliff stabilisation work near The Vinery is due to be completed.
After over 3 years without a central library worth its name, Kent County Council have confirmed a new facility will open at 14 Sandgate Road on Tuesday 26 May 2026.
