New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
About Folkestone and Hythe Constituency
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.
The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.
Temporary Overnight Road Closure: Risborough Way, Cheriton - from 10 March 2011
Kent Highways have notified that it is necessary to close Risborough Way, Cheriton, Folkestone from Thursday 10 March 2011 for 2 nights. Works are planned to be carried between 7.00 pm and 5.00 am, with the road re-opened outside these hours.

Following a recent incident at a retirement property in Tonbridge which was attended by Kent Fire and Rescue Service, Kent Trading Standards would like to alert all consumers to the dangers of microwaveable wheat bags if they are not used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
