Kent Highway Services have notified that it is necessary to close Clifton Gardens, Folkestone on Thursday 6 January 2011 for up to a day. The planned work times are between 7.00 am and 5.00 pm.

BBC Political Editor Nick Robinson has written about the bugging and reporting of comments by Vince Cable by two Telegraph undercover reporters. From the 4 January 2011, cash will no longer be accepted at Shepway Civic Centre - although any customer with a council payment card, or invoice with a barcode, can make cash payments at more than 30 outlets across Shepway displaying the Pay Point or the Post Office sign.
