It's good to see that Shepway have now started monthly reporting of payments made by the Council to external bodies and suppliers that are £500 and over at http://tinyurl.com/2e2er3f
Just for historical interest, the Labour Leadership elections results (September 2010) from Folkestone and Hythe Constituency Labour Party. Interesting to note the significant majority voted for David Miliband, and that of 117 votes cast, 94 were for Anyone But Ed...
This weekend, the Guardian featured an article suggesting that the Lib Dem leadership were considering "selling out" on tuition fees in advance of the General Election. Which would be a big story, if only it was true.
A lamp column at the "high, dark" end of Undercliff, Sandgate has been repaired following a report by County Councillor Tim Prater. Also, after years of reports and chasing by the Sandgate Lib Dem team, the central reservation light on the traffic Island by The Ship pub, Sandgate High Street has been timetabled for connection by Kent Highways in December.
On 8th November Kent and Medway Fire and Rescue Authority published its draft plans for the future in a document called Towards 2020, which is now available at www.kent.fire-uk.org.
