Someone at the Office of National Statistics has been having a bit of a play with birthday data. This time of the year (the second half of September) is the most popular time to be born (with September 26th being the "peak" day on the data for the last twenty years.
At midday tomorrow the Boundary Commission for England will publish their first draft proposals for the 499 constituencies in England. The Welsh Commission will do the same for their 29 seats. The Scottish Commission is expected to announce their plans in the near future.

Fresh back from my summer holiday, I had my attention drawn to a board on the hoarding on 124-132 Sandgate High Street advertising that it will shortly be sold at auction by Clive Emson. Having had a look at the sale particulars online, I have today sent Shepway District Council's Planning Depertment the following email. I await their response with interest!
A tired seal that became stranded on Sandgate beach has been recovered and is now safe after the British Divers Marine Life Rescue came to its aid. The seal was rescured from Sandgate beach on Tuesday afternoon and taken to the RSPCA Mallydams wildlife centre where is was reported to be underweight but recovering.

Earlier this week Military Road was given a much needed re-surfacing, which was complete by Wednesday, but as yet there's no sign of the road markings being replaced.
