39,016 schoolchildren in Kent will lose out on free lunches, under plans announced in the Conservative manifesto.

The plans, which will result in the value of your home being included in means testing for social care support, mean that many more pensioners (including those with low incomes) will be expected to pay for their support. The Conservative plans also mean an end to the triple lock, which guaranteed that the basic state pension would rise in line with inflation, wage growth or 2.5%, whichever is higher.
