The footpath from Caesar's Way is part of an off-road route from Cheriton to Junction 13 of the M20. But much of the path was muddy and overgrown and hard to use.
Folkestone West County Councillor Tim Prater has welcomed a U-Turn by Conservative Kent County Council on the removal of streetlights in the area.
Kent Trading Standards have received a report of a resident in Ashford being cold called on the 8 January. The caller claimed to be a debt collection agent. When the consumer asked to see his ID card he waved it at her and then put it away. He said he needed cash or a bank card.
Kent County Council are finalising proposals to remove over 3,000 streetlights across Kent, including over 200 in Shepway.
During December there were no reported incidents of theft or criminal damage in the ward. Police responded to vehicle obstruction issues in Military Road, Meadowbrook Court, Radnor Cliff Road and Castle Road. There have also been several reports of abandoned vehicles in the ward and these details have been passed to the local Council.

AD LIB is a monthly subscription magazine (£35 per year for members) that acts as a successor to the former weekly "Liberal Democrat News".
