The Liberal Democrats on Shepway District Council have put a motion to Shepway Full Council on 22nd July calling for Shepway to work with other to lobby southeastern trains to retain direct peak time services from Folkestone to Charing Cross following the introduction on new services to St Pancras in December.
The meeting to determine plans to expand London Ashford Airport (Lydd) has been put back 24 hours and will now be held on Thursday 24 September.
An independent survey of social housing allocation explodes the myth that new immigrants jump the queue for social housing. Cheriton and Folkestone West Councillor Tim Prater has received a promise from Kent County Council to deal with road safety problems at the junction of Weymouth Road and Langdon Road in Cheriton. The pledge comes after Tim Prater raised problem parking at the site with Kent Highways after being approached by a local resident.

The Framework (LDF) is basically the Council's "plan" on where developments could happen over the next 18 years in the area, and indicates where they would allow them if an application was made. It doesn't mean any proposal made WILL happen, but makes it more likely that it could.
