MEPs declare war on wildlife traffickers
MEPs have voted for tough measures to combat the growing trade in illegal wildlife products which is destroying the planet's ecosystem.
New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Ashford will (pretty ridiculously, in our opinion) include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of North Downs East and North Downs West, in addtion to the Ashford Borough Council seats of:
Aylesford & East Stour, Beaver, Bircholt, Bockhanger, Bybrook, Conningbrook & Little Burton Farm, Furley, Goat Lees, Godinton, Highfield, Kennington, Mersham, Sevington South with Finberry, Norman, Park Farm North, Park Farm South, Repton, Roman, Singleton East, Singleton West, Stanhope, Victoria, Washford, Willesborough, Wye with Hinxhill.
The Ashford seat therefore stretches pretty much to the coast, across an area that in no way could be called Ashford: Ashford and North Downs, maybe.

Campaigners seeking to stop Shepway District Council's development of Princes Parade have been massively boosted by Historic England's who have said that the area "should not be allocated for significant new development in the draft local plan, and that it should remain as largely open green space as per the last Local Plan inquiry and the decision by the Inspector".
What follows is the correspondence between myself and Shepway District Council about the Sandgate East CPZ (so far). What it boils down to is... I complained under Shepway's Corporate Complaints Procedure, Shepway chose to "investigate" it under another procedure (which took a while), Shepway decided they didn't agree with me (and sent me a broken - as of 2nd December at 16:40 - link to the procedure they didn't investigate it under), and now they'd like me to get back into my box please (the last bit is my assumption). This is what we pay our Council Tax for folks!
