Fast food giant Burger King are coming to Bouverie Place in Central Folkestone, adding to their other branches at Cherry Garden Avenue and the Eurotunnel Cheriton Terminal food court.

New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
About Ashford Constituency
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Ashford will (pretty ridiculously, in our opinion) include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of North Downs East and North Downs West, in addtion to the Ashford Borough Council seats of:
Aylesford & East Stour, Beaver, Bircholt, Bockhanger, Bybrook, Conningbrook & Little Burton Farm, Furley, Goat Lees, Godinton, Highfield, Kennington, Mersham, Sevington South with Finberry, Norman, Park Farm North, Park Farm South, Repton, Roman, Singleton East, Singleton West, Stanhope, Victoria, Washford, Willesborough, Wye with Hinxhill.
The Ashford seat therefore stretches pretty much to the coast, across an area that in no way could be called Ashford: Ashford and North Downs, maybe.
Peter Carroll gets Naseby Road "Buffer strip" action
Cheriton Councillor Peter Carroll has received an undertaking from Shepway Council that they will be sending a team to clear up and cut the 'buffer strip' at the rear of houses in Naseby Avenue in Cheriton and that they will revisit the idea of allowing tenants to make use of the land under some form of notional lease.

£100 fine for using Stop24 services
A visitor to Shepway from Huntingdon got an unpleasant surprise when stopping for a break at the M20 J11 Stop24 services in July when he got home: a £100 fine for parking at the services!
