Liberal Democrats fulfil policy to end child detention
Deputy Prime Minister and Liberal Democrat Leader, Nick Clegg, has confirmed that the Government will end child detention by May next year.
New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.
The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.

A new Shepway Council website has gone live at www.shepway.gov.uk which is designed to make it easier to find the key information you want from Shepway Council.
Shepway District Council are "looking to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to provide for the following minor works services: all minor works including building, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, decorating, routine repairs to Shepway District Council owned corporate properties."
