About Folkestone and Hythe Constituency
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.
The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.
Neil Matthews steps down as Folkestone & Hythe Parliamentary Candidate
Shepway Liberal Democrats are sorry to announce that Neil Matthews has stepped down as Parliamentary Candidate for Folkestone & Hythe due to personal pressures. Neil remains an active part of the Shepway Liberal Democrats and Liberal Democrat Councillor for Hythe West.

Why Is Lynne Walking?
Shepway Liberal Democrat Group Leader Lynne Beaumont will be walking around Folkestone town centre for 5 days from the 2nd to the 6th November 2009. The reason for the walk is to raise funds for the Salvation Army and the Rainbow Centre, both of whom deal with homeless and vulnerable people on the front line.
