The Local Government Boundary Commission for England is carrying out an electoral review of Shepway District Council to deliver electoral equality for voters in local elections. From 23 October 2012 to 3 December 2012 they are inviting proposals for the number of councillors who should represent Shepway District Council.

Kent Highways are to carry out footway surfacing works at Lynwood, Folkestone. These works will involve the replacement of the existing footway surface with a newly constructed bituminous footway. The works are due to take place along Lynwood, between Beech Close and Coniston Road on the south side of the footway.
