Samaritans 24 / 7

It is not unusual to be invited to a function and not to know what is about to happen - at least, not unusual for me! The description of the invitation was simply to support the Samaritans in a publicity event: what became clear later is that the date was the significant part of the invitation.

Instep Dance at Brockhill School

Most of us will never know just how much talent is flourishing in our schools. Fortunately, I was invited to a show by Instep Dance Company, based at Brockhill School, and I experienced the highest level of performance I could have imagined. The programme enabled a wide range of performances to be seen from the various stages of instruction and development, from tiny tots to those ready to leave the education system.

St Georges Fun Afternoon at Sandgate School

Thank GOODNESS the weather held for the St George's Fun Afternoon held on Sandgate School playing fields. The bouncy castle probably captured the attention of most of the children but as all the activities were free, the Hook a Duck and Bean Bag Throwing also gathered quite a crowd. About 500 people attended the afternoon and were entertained by Creativity Puppets, The Mission Gospel Choir and The Imagination Theatre Group.
