Kent Highways thanked for repairs in North Lane
After a request / report for resurfacing in North Lane in Sandgate (leading off Sandgate High Street) from Tim Prater, Kent Highways have resurfaced the top end of the lane and reinstated the yellow lines. Local residents are delighted with the work, and the helpfulness of the Kent Highways team who made the repairs.

General Election Nominations for Folkestone and Hythe
The deadline for nominations to be the next MP for Folkestone and Hythe was 4pm, and the accepted nominations have been announced by Shepway Council. Lib Dem candidate Lynne Beaumont is facing six other candidates in a contest widely expected to be a clear choice between the Liberal Democrats and the Conservative candidate.

Temporary closure for refurbishment works to Folkestone Library
Kent County Council are promising a selection of new books, an improved layout and a bigger children's section including computers will be some of the changes being made at Folkestone Library when refurbishment works start there next month.
