Shepway Council have announced a second stage to their Community Chest funding programme, with another £35,000 available for local organisations. Grants of up to £5,000 are available for projects, plus one £20,000 grant in the year. Applications for the second phase of funding will be accepted up until 2nd November 2009.

Folkestone West County Councillor Tim Prater has started a bid under Kent County Council's Members Highway Fund to look into a scheme to create a one-way scheme in Morehall Avenue and Chart Road in Folkestone.
