Sad News about Councillor Willie Richardson
An email from Shepway District Council Leader Robert Bliss has arrived today, telling Councillors about the death of Lydd District and Romney Marsh County Councillor Willie Richardson. Willie has fought a long fight against cancer, but tragically died in the early hours of Monday morning.

The Town Mayor of Folkestone's Christmas Charity Auction
On Wednesday 1 December 2010 starting at 7pm at Quarterhouse, Tontine Street, Folkestone, there will be a Christmas Charity Auction with a celebrity auctioneer in aid of the Mayor's Charities, B-4-8s and Folkestone Rainbow Centre.

Spotted this Sunday in Folkestone's Sandgate Road Garden of Remembrance - a poppy wreath with a UKIP logo at the centre. Can anyone possibly think that Party politics and logos are appropriate as a part of Remembrance services? Really?

With an amazing illumination of the high street to get Sandgate firmly into the Christmas spirit, there will be mince pies, mulled wine, presents and best of all a visit from Father Christmas himself! Of course, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without the appearance of a hefty amount of snow just to set the scene!
