The Kent Volunteers Awards for Volunteering Excellence aim to seek out volunteers of all ages involved in the whole spectrum of activities and to recognise and thank them for the work they do across the county.

Lib Dem Folkestone Town Councillor Gary Fuller, whilst attending the recent VJ Day memorial service in Folkestone's Garden of Remembrance, spotted what he suspected could be another piece of rock that might have fallen from Christchurch Tower.

Fuller "Ecstatic" Over Folkestone Pathway Repairs

Local campaigner Gary Fuller has welcomed pathway potholes repairs in Castle Hill Avenue by Kent Highways - two weeks after he reported them, and less than twenty-four hours after he met with Kent County Councillor Roland Tolputt to discuss the state of Folkestone's roads and pathways.

FREE Eastbourne Breaks on offer to Folkestone over-60's

The National Benevolent Fund for the Aged have announced that Folkestone will be one of the pick-ups points for their Eastbourne 2008 Autumn Break. To qualify for a free break, the applicant must be over 60 years old, on a low income, not had a holiday for at least 3 years, able to get on and off a coach, manage steps & care for themselves.
