Fifty-six post office branches are to close across Kent with the first ones winding up in the New Year. The 56 offices include all FIVE in Shepway that had been included - despite huge public outcry and even an offer by one Post office in Enbrook Valley to PAY continue to operate its Post Office!
Lib Dem members have been reminded to return their ballot papers by Acting Lib Dem Leader Vince Cable. In a message to members, Dr Cable stressed that the ballot closes on 15 December, and all papers must be returned by then.
A Shepway Council publication has confirmed that Shepway District Councillor Linda Oliver is no longer living in Hythe - but is STILL staying on as a Councillor for Hythe West!
