New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.

About Ashford Constituency

From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Ashford will (pretty ridiculously, in our opinion) include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of North Downs East and North Downs West, in addtion to the Ashford Borough Council seats of:

Aylesford & East Stour, Beaver, Bircholt, Bockhanger, Bybrook, Conningbrook & Little Burton Farm, Furley, Goat Lees, Godinton, Highfield, Kennington, Mersham, Sevington South with Finberry, Norman, Park Farm North, Park Farm South, Repton, Roman, Singleton East, Singleton West, Stanhope, Victoria, Washford, Willesborough, Wye with Hinxhill.

The Ashford seat therefore stretches pretty much to the coast, across an area that in no way could be called Ashford: Ashford and North Downs, maybe.

Shorncliffe Road Trees

Suddenly the trees were gone: trees in Shorncliffe Road in Folkestone were cut down to half their size with not so much as a by-your-leave!

Kent Lib Dem Autumn 2008 Seminar

Lib Dem members from across Kent are invited to a Kent seminar featuring Norman Baker MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Transport in Maidstone. The seminar is on 27th September 2008, Invicta House, Maidstone from 09:30 - 13:00 (Registration from 09:00).

Park Ward Councillor Surgeries

Park Ward Lib Dem Councillors will be holding a "surgery" for residents on the 1st Saturday of every month. They will be in Grace Taylor Hall in Broadmead Village, Folkestone from 10am to 12noon starting on Saturday 2nd August 2008.
