Local Lib Dem Gary Fuller believes that Sandgate needs much greater recognition when setting Shepway wide strategies and plans, especially with regards to tourism and economic development. Building on the excellent work by Sandgate Parish Council on the Village Design Statement, Gary wants to see a similar Economy and Tourism Development Plan for the Village that will feed into the wider strategy for the District.
Local Lib Dem Gary Fuller wants to see a much quicker roll out of LED street lighting in Shepway, rather than what he sees as a continuing programme of savings at the expense of public safety. Local Lib Dem Gary Fuller has expressed dismay at the seeming inability of mobile phone companies to offer excellent service to Sandgate residents. Gary, who is standing for election to Shepway District Council on Thursday, has noted that the main mobile networks have signal blackspots in various streets in Sandgate, including the Crescent where he lives, and hopes that a solution can be found for residents and local businesses.
Shepway's roads can be made safer for motorists and pedestrians alike if you vote Lib Dem on Thursday.
